TEXAS FOOD & FUEL ASSOCIATION
The Officers, Directors and Staff of the Texas Food & Fuel Association welcomes your membership and looks forward to meeting and working with you in the future.
January 1, 2012 begins a new and exciting chapter in the long history of TGCA, as you have been previously notified TGCA is merging with the Texas Petroleum Marketers and Convenience Store Association to form the Texas Food & Fuel Association. TGCA was formed in 1938 as the Texas Retail Grocers Association, in 1989 the name was changed to Texas Food Industry Association and merged with the Texas Wholesale Grocers Association and the Southwest Food Industry Association and then in 2001 merged with Texas Association of Wholesale Distributors to form the Texas Grocery and Convenience Association. Just like the industries that they represent trade associations are under going constant change, the Board of Directors of TGCA and TPCA both believe that this merger will better serve the members and the industry.
By combing the strengths of TGCA and TPCA the membership will enjoy additional services and increased representation and recognition with state regulatory agencies and the Texas legislature.
The Texas Food & Fuel Association will be one of the nations largest state organizations dedicated to serving the fuel marketing, convenience, grocery and wholesale food industries. Combining the two organizations into one represents a win-win for both associations and their members.
