YED
The YED is designed to involve the next generation of leaders in our industry. YED is a leadership committee of the TGCA, and provides opportunities for young executives to network with their peers from every segment of the industry as well as mentor others who have established their leadership in the organization. YED members are involved in fund raising for TGCA, assisting in events like the Spring Swing and Fall Food Classic Golf Tournaments, as well as the Texas Food and Fuel Expo and Convention. Monies raised at these events are used for scholarships and the Political Education Committee fund. During the Texas Legislative Session, YED Members are involved in the TGCA Day on the Hill. YED Members along with other TGCA Members have the opportunity to meet and lobby for issues that are important to the industry. The Day on the Hill is an excellent time to learn how the entire legislative process works and what motivates the lawmakers. The YED is one of the keys to the growth and success of the TGCA. The only requirements are members be age 45 or younger and the individual's company must be a member of TGCA.
